Community Indigenous Garden Initiative
Members of the Muizenberg community are creating an educational garden in Royal Road.  Grass is being gradually removed and replaced with indigenous medicinal and edible plants.  As things take shape, the plants will be labelled, much as they are in the Useful Plants Garden at Kirstenbosch.  We hope that there will eventually be a booklet telling the story of the garden, and detailing some of the uses of the plants.

In the picture you can see community members, Laurie Crull and Rosemary Leibbrandt at work on the community indigenous herb garden in Royal Road.
