MID Members are invited to an Information Session on Public Safety & Security in the Muizenberg Improvement District

Date: Tuesday 21 July 2015
Venue: All Saint’s Church Hall, c/o Church & Main Road
Time: 17h30 to 18h30

At the beginning of this month, we began working with Securitas, our newly appointed service provider for Public Safety & Security. You will have noticed the dedicated MID Public Safety patrol vehicle keeping a constant lookout on the streets of the Muizenberg Improvement District.

Public Safety & Security remains a priority for the MID board. At the Information Session, the MID Public Safety & Security team will give feedback on the first three weeks of operation of our new service and the vision for Public Safety within the Muizenberg Improvement District.

Kindly confirm your attendance by email to manager@mid.org.za by Monday 20th July to allow us to plan seating.

About MID

The Muizenberg Improvement District [MID] is a geographic area where property owners have contracted to pay a levy to facilitate a joint effort by the City of Cape Town and the local community to ensure more effective management of public areas and to promote business confidence.

The MID supplements normal municipal services provided by the City. It uses its funds to combat crime and grime, enhance the environment, and find work workable solutions to social issues like vagrancy and the plight of the homeless.  The Muizenberg Improvement District is a legal entity established under the City’s Special Rating Areas by-law and also governed by the South African Companies Act 2008.
