Muizenberg Improvement District recently partnered with Clean C to facilitate monthly beach clean-ups at Muizenberg. These beach clean-ups include MID’s homeless weekend cleaning team, supervised by Sihsy Selenge. All bags, gloves and hand sanitiser is sponsored by Clean C.

lace on the evening of 6 December in collaboration with the Moonlight Meander, a Safer Together initiative. The turn-out was amazing, 60 people, braving the South Easter to experience a safe walk along Muizenberg beach whilst collecting litter and meeting local residents. Amongst the group of people were volunteers from Cape Town Tourism. This group of volunteers also participated in a beach clean-up earlier in the day at Blouberg.
Five bags of litter were collected. MID, Safer Together, Clean C and the Muizenberg Community Safety Initiative wishes to thank all those who participated in this volunteer community event.
The next Beach Clean-up and Moonlight Meander will take place on the 3rd of January, meet outside Knead at 6pm.
